Here’s what Maroon Astro collects when you sign up or visit, who handles it, and what I never do with your address.

What I collect

Your email address, when you sign up.

Your answer to the optional question after you sign up, and your answers to any poll in an issue.

Which emails you open and which links you click.

Basic site visits: which pages you read and how you got here.

The cookies beehiiv sets to run the site and the signup form.

Who handles it

beehiiv sends the email and hosts this site. It handles your address and the details above for me, under beehiiv’s own privacy policy.

What I do with it

I send you the monthly issue and the three welcome emails that come after you sign up.

I count how many people clicked each part of an issue, so I can plan the next one.

If you reply to an issue, I run your words only with your permission, signed with your first name and town. Never your full name.

What I never do

I never sell your address. I never upload or share the list anywhere.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe or change your preferences from the links at the bottom of any email.

You can ask me to delete your data. Write to [email protected].

If you live in the EU or the UK, GDPR gives you the right to see the data I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, get a copy of it, and object to how I use it. Write to the same address to use any of these. You can also complain to your country’s data protection authority.
